Do mosquitos love you as much as they do me? 🦟 👂 I’ve heard it’s a blood type thing.
👂 I’ve heard it’s a CO2 thing.
👂 I heard it’s because I’m sweet . 🤣
👂 I heard if you eat a lot of garlic they will leave you alone.
👂 I’ve heard people say nothing works to keep them away except for DEET. I’ve tried many repellents in my life and some do better than others. I’ve started thinking differently about repellents as soon as I had kids. I didn’t want to put a whole bunch of nasty chemicals on them. But, I also didn’t want them to get eaten alive by bugs. Recently, we tried out Eco Repel #gifted by @coconutmatter , and it is one of the best repellents we’ve used. 🎉 Why? 1. I actually get less bites! Even after all the rain these days, I can see the mozzies swarming around us, but they don’t land on us!
2. Chemical-free! Super important to me, especially because of my young kiddos.
3. Eco-friendly! The whole tube is plastic free and made with biodegradable ingredients.
4. It smells amazing. It has a higher price tag than other brands of bug repellent, but doing better for the environment and ourselves feels pretty worth it to us. What kind of repellent do you use? Is finding something all natural and eco friendly important to you? 🌱

The ones that, even though I’m sure it can be frustrating to be around young children when they’re not used to it, tackle it so well anyway?! ⁣

🌎 Living abroad can be a challenge sometimes, especially during holidays because you don’t have family close by to visit with. But, when you have good friends, who not only act as your friends but your family away from family, it makes tough times much more manageable. ⁣
⁣
⬆ These two are some of the BEST! They are so incredibly patient with our schedule, our hiking pace, our volume level, and they STILL want to hang out with us and our crew. 😊🙌🏼⁣
We couldn’t be more thankful for good friends to go through life with. ⁣

We try our best to let Peri just feel what he's feeling and also teach him how to express his feelings in order to communicate effectively with others. ⁣
⁣
Of course, this doesn't always work. Sometimes in the moment of a meltdown, it's difficult to figure out what exactly is upsetting him, but as his language develops, he's getting better and better at verbally expressing what's bothering him before, during, and after his emotional response. 👍 ⁣
⁣
Would love it he could always communicate his feelings verbally before a meltdown, but I guess I should get better at that too 😂 We are all a work in progress, aren't we?
