Planning for Outdoor Family Adventures: ☑⁣

Which of the following sounds like you!?⁣
⁣
1. I make a list of everything I need in advance and pack everything at least one day in advance.⁣
⁣
2. I have a pretty good idea of what I’ll need and then pack the night before/ morning of.⁣
⁣
3. I throw everything into the bags last minute and hope I got everything I’ll need.⁣
⁣
When we first started adventuring with Peri, I was definitely #1. After 22 months, I’m now firmly #2. I will admit, I’ve been #3 a few times though. 😉⁣
⁣
Recently, mommy and daddy went to recce the trail and camp site to see if it’s a place we’d want to take our littles soon. I’m super happy we did because we ended up changing our minds about the original site and settled on a different one. It usually really helps to plan ahead- especially when you’re taking kids with you into the great outdoors!

𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘄𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀? 😀 I'm SO guilty of setting some personal new year goals and then forgetting about them by February. Well, it's February and will (gasp) soon be March. 😮 One of the things I wanted to make sure to do more of this year is to 🎉𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜'𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗪🎊. It's super easy for me to get caught up in "what everyone else is doing." What I do know is...we are all doing AWESOME things that are worth celebrating! 🥂 For me, I'm celebrating getting out and backpacking for the first time with our new baby.🐣 It wasn't easy, but next time will go even smoother. 👼 Tell me what awesomeness you're celebrating! 👯‍♂️

The weather is warming up🔆! Did we even have a winter? 🤨 Excited about the warm weather or not, it’s nice to play in some water this time of year especially when it’s hot in the afternoons! The streams 💦 are low which make walking up them easier for little ones. This stream walk in particular is easy to get to and super kid friendly ( link in bio ) If the stream is not your thing, this trail also has a fairy door forest along the route. 🧚‍♂️ Are you someone who loves the warm weather nowadays or are you hoping for another cold spell? 🥶
